A week of FUD on Twitter

Doodles, Shibarium Beta code, and Sesame Street NFTs

GM Baos,

The market is pumping πŸ“ˆπŸ“ˆπŸ“ˆ

This means everyone can get along now, right?

Today we cover:

  • Doodles FUD 😬

  • Shibarium code 😱

  • Cookie Monster NFTs πŸ’™πŸͺ

Doodles is no longer an NFT project?

One of the Doodles co-founders, @poopie, went viral on NFT Twitter after saying, "We're trying to go from a startup to a leading media franchise. We are no longer an NFT project" in response to a community member.

The Doodles team also faced backlash for their announcement about digital socks. A lot of people used this as an opportunity to meme and talk about how disconnected some founders can be. In response to the community's feedback, @poopie tweeted a long explanation and ended with "i'll take the L on this one".

What are your thoughts on where the Doodles are headed? Was it just bad wording by @poopie?

Reactions from Twitter:

Shibarium ✨DRAMA✨

When Steve (a high ranking Discord member) pointed out that Shibarium’s Beta testnet uses the same Chain ID (917) as Rinia testnet, community members started to panic. Did Shibarium just copy another blockchain's code? The rumors caused Shiba Inu's token to drop -10%.

One of Shibarium's developers tweeted that they will redeploy a new version and, "Fresh deployments will be rare in the future but are possible because we will still be in BETA phase".

Cookie Monster NFTs

Sesame Street and VeVe are about to drop 5,555 Cookie Monster NFTs this Sunday. How cool is it that Sesame Street's first digital collection will feature the iconic Cookie Monster character? πŸ˜†

If you're not familiar with VeVe, they partner with beeg web2 brands like Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, and Warner Bros to create officially licensed collectables. Since being founded in 2018, they've sold over 8m collectables on their platform.

"Collaborating with VeVe for [Sesame Street's] first collection of digital collectibles is a great way to celebrate [the series'] enduring legacy and give our long-time fans a new way to showcase their love for Sesame Street and its characters" β€” Jennifer Ahearn, Sesame Workshop's VP of global strategic partnerships and themed entertainment

VeVe uses its in-app currency, Gem, and ETH layer 2 Immutable X to process transactions. Each Cookie Monster NFT will cost $60 β€” are you thinking about adding one to your collection?
