FightOut throwing jabs in the move to earn industry

Move-to-earn (M2E) companies like Stepn harnessed the gamification and strength of community by building web3 products during 2022. M2E has been well-received and continues to build its following in very different segment of crypto .

This week, FightOut raised $2.7 million during its presale, inviting fitness enthusiasts from across the world to join their community. They aim to build both a fitness app and a chain of gyms that uses gamification of the fitness lifestyle and rewards users for completing workouts.

Fitness apps and videos are nothing new, however FightOut includes tokenomics, NFTs and cryptocurrency into their core offering. Users mint their own digital NFT avatars and can customise the attributes to personalise their image. As they workout or complete challenges, their physical exertion converts into loyalty points, REPS. Here are some things which REPS can be used for:

  • Training equipment, supplements and apparel

  • Discounts on fight coaches and personal trainers

  • Benefits at FightOut physical locations including health bars, co-working spaces

  • Cosmetics for NFTs

Using crypto to incentivise healthy habits and form strong communities seems like a compelling web3 usecase. Perhaps this will fast track your new year resolutions for 2023?

Royal Carribean sets sails into the Metaverse

Celebrity Cruises one of the brands under the cruising mamoth Royal Carribean launched "Wonderverse" a digital cruise ship experience. Within the same week the company also filed patents for NFT intellectual property in preparation for building its metaverse world.

Their objective is to build an immersive world to help travelers get a taste of what their fleet has to experience. Through hyperrealistic details and digital avatars, the company aims to provide information and interactive customer experience journey.

This isn't Royal Carribean's first foray in web3, with previous limited release NFTs minting out in a matter of minutes. This time, they continue to incorporate the limitless possibilities of web3 into their business model.

Will this usher in a new generation of virtual-only travellers?

Yuga appoints ex-Activision Blizzard COO as their Chief

NFT giant Yuga Labs, the owners of Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks, this week appointed Daniel Alegre as it's new CEO. Daniel previously held the role of COO at gaming giant Activision Blizzard, and many senior roles at Google.

Yuga has already built the largest portfolio of NFT projects, driving incredible value and utility from the intellectual property of strange and wonderful creations in web3. With their portfolio they have set their sides to build a huge interoperable gamified metaverse through Otherdeed.

✅Best-in-class Intellectual property

✅Huge warchest of funding

✅Cult community following

✅Huge web3 metaverse vision

Now add seasoned executive and strategic leadership to the mix.

Mark my words, 2023 will be a huge year for Yuga.
