Crypto.com Canada delists USDT
Crypto.com is delisting Tether in Canada... and this goes into effect January 31st when all USDT balances will be converted to Circle's USDC.
It's shocking to see one of the largest exchanges delist the largest stablecoin. But are we really surprised to see it's only in Canada? After Canada banned crypto leverage trading, they seem to be increasing regulations.
JUST IN: 🇨🇦 Crypto․com to delist Tether $USDT in Canada, citing compliance with local regulator.

Fake Pokémon NFT trading game
A South Korean security firm (AhnLab) reported a fake Pokémon game was infecting users' computers with malware.
The phishing website looked like a marketplace, with a link to buy tokens and stake NFTs. But when you would click on the link, it downloaded malware.
Hackers were using NetSupport which would allow them to remotely control the person's computer. After they have access, they can exploit sensitive information or even download more malware.
Be careful what you download from the internet 🥴
Microsoft to invest in ChatGPT owner OpenAI
One of the things that make crypto special is the narratives. The DeFi, metaverse, Layer 1/Layer 2s, and real yield narratives have all had their moment. Is AI next? 👀
AI has been all over social media these last few weeks. I've seen popular YouTubers incorporate ChatGPT into their videos, further introducing the tech to millions of people who didn't know how fun AI could be… Now add in the beeg tech giant Microsoft potentially investing in OpenAI.
Microsoft is looking to invest $10b in OpenAI. The deal would also mean they acquire a 49% stake and also receive 75% of OpenAI's revenue until the initial investment is recovered. This move by Microsoft makes sense considering their competitor Google is also looking into AI.
If and when the AI narrative really takes off, you don't want to become exit liquidity. There are too many to name, but here are a few AI coins you might want to look into:
$FET
$OCEAN
$GRT
$AI (Multiverse)
$ORAI

When it feels like a narrative is over, that's usually when it's just beginning. What are your thoughts on all the AI hype?
