Instagram is winding down support for NFTs

Less than a year after launching, Meta is sunsetting its NFT features across both Instagram and Facebook 😱

Stephane Kasriel, Meta's head of commerce and financial technologies, tweeted that they want to "focus on other ways to support creators, people, and businesses". 

In May 2022, Instagram began testing NFT features. By November, they had rolled out the ability to buy and sell NFTs directly on the platform. It seemed promising. They even integrated support for Polygon and Solana.

What are your thoughts on this? Because I know I’m having déjà vu to when Snapchat sunset its web3 team… 🧐

Twitter did NOT react positively to this news. @ZAGABOND’s tweet was probably one of the kinder reactions.

FFC Live Steams ♨️ w/ Boba Inu 

What is Live Steams? Live Steams is a podcast and FFC community Twitter Spaces featuring current Asian projects, founders, and creatives pushing through the bear market and making a difference in the space. 

Last Thursday, @DanBoMaster89 and @theyrofthesheep hung out with the founders of Boba Inu. They talked about how someone can start their own NFT project and how different art styles will influence your idea map. 

Highlights from the Live Steams 

🧋What inspired Boba Inu? There's a TON of boba everywhere in Taiwan. It was also important for them to connect Asian culture to their project and help educate everyone on the culture. The catalyst to starting a NFT project and becoming a founder? An interest in generative art and wanting to create something cute.

🧋 If you have an idea, just go for it. As long as you're willing to learn, anything's possible. Because absolutely everyone is capable of bringing their vision to life.

🧋When building your team, look for someone that compliments your skills and make ups for any areas you may be lacking in. It's also a good idea to think 10x or even 20x before starting a web3 project + deciding to hire people!
