Yuga Labs buys Punks
Yuga grows their portfolio of web3 IP and goes large buying up Larva Labs and giving full commercial rights to Punk holders and creating a mammoth presence in web3.
Biggest blue chip company in web3 locked and loaded.
Some big news to share today: Yuga has acquired the CryptoPunks and Meebits collections from @larvalabs, and the first thing we’re doing is giving full commercial rights to the NFT holders. Just like we did for BAYC and MAYC owners.

Luna's crash and burn
Despite the arrogant confidence of Do Kwon the UST algorithmic "stablecoin" which depegged bringing down the value of LUNA down with it.
LUNA and UST before it's crash had a combined market value of almost $60 BILLION...

All the blockchain nerds spent most of the year tracking the testnet milestones being reached, analysing test results and awaited proof-of-stake to superceded the old proof-of-work method of validation.
