Opepen

If you haven't noticed Opepen by Jack Butcher, you're missing out!

The trend began with Threadguy's MAYC PFP, where he received a custom-made Opepen that thousands of people started using as their own. This even led to him changing his PFP 🙃

Inspired by this, Jack Butcher then launched the "Opepen Threadition," which allowed people to mint the specific custom NFT for only $2, with all proceeds going directly to Threadguy.

At the time of writing, over 47K Opepen Threadition NFTs have been sold on Zora Network.

This new innovation is crazy, with people creating their own unique derivatives of Opepen. There's even a feature where you can upload your own photo and generate an Opepen with colors that match.

It's an amazing concept that provides a way to show support for our favorite Twitter influencers by adopting a similar PFP, without them having to create randomly priced NFTs with crazy minting fees.

Neopets cancels their NFT game

Just recently Neopets announced their shift from creating an NFT game to developing a non-crypto mobile game called "World of Neopets,"

The decision was made based on the desires of their general community and has ignited a two-sided debate.

On one hand, there are those who have invested money and are expressing disappointment, as there hasn't been an explicit call for refunds.

The exclusivity drops in the game, physical merchandise, and real-life events mentioned in Neopets' statement may not hold the anticipated monetary value.

On the other hand, Neopet enthusiasts who were against NFTs in general viewed this shift as a positive move, as they didn't want Neopets to be associated with "low quality" NFT games.

Both sides present valid points and have the best interests of the company in mind, albeit from different perspectives.

Neopets argued their shift in perspective was in response to the preferences of their community, which is an important factor to consider.

What do you think? Should Neopets have continued their metaverse game?

Arkham goes live

Arkham recently launched its highly anticipated airdrops made available to early ecosystem participants and beta testers.

Currently, the $ARKM token is tradable on Binance and is maintaining a strong value above $0.60 per coin.

Let's dive into Arkham and their unique system where crypto intelligence and information play a crucial role.

They introduce a new concept known as "Dox to Earn," where participants can earn $ARKM tokens by revealing the identities of specific wallet owners. It's like a headhunter bounty system, but entirely online.

One of the most eye-catching bounties currently listed on the platform involves finding the individual or entity responsible for the multi-million dollar theft at FTX immediately following its bankruptcy.

Crypto sleuths are actively pursuing this person, as the one who successfully uncovers their identity stands to receive around 100k ARKM tokens, equivalent to approximately $60k when directly swapped.

This model of rewarding and punishing different sectors in Web3 is intriguing and adds excitement to the space.
