PROOF raised $50m, a round led by a16z

It's not secret Moonbirds has an exceptional team & product. And now, they're not going to be strapped for cash any time soon. PROOF held its 'Future PROOF' live stream to share some epic updates.

TLDR;

💵 PROOF raised a $50m Series A led by a16z, 776 (Alexis O'hanian's fund, CEO of Reddit), True Ventures (a fund Kevin Rose is a partner at) and more.

🆕 Moonbirds Mythics will launch early 2023. It's a collection 2023 and can be acquired by owners '"nesting" (staking) their Birds. Oddities owners can also burn their NFTs for a Moonbirds Mythic! Here's some concept art - I'm so stocked it ain't pixels.

🪙 PROOF will be designing and launching a token. The full initiative is planned for Q1 of 2023.

🎨 PROOF will put their metadata on-chain.

✨ The launch of Proof X – where PROOF collaborates with artists to tap into unique smart contract functionality.

💙 The launch of a "Curated" brand for creators to drop work from top notch artists, while a "Genesis" brand helps artists launch their first NFT projects.

Phew, that was a big announcement. We're looking forward to seeing all these projects start launching over the next few months!

NFT Ticketing with Ticketmaster 🎫

We're finally going to get our tickets as NFTs!

A few days ago, Ticketmaster announced it would support minting for tickets as NFTs for select events. And guess which blockchain they chose to work with?

That's right – another win for Flow blockchain, causing their price to jump around ~20% at announcement.

It turns out Dapper Labs (the team behind Flow & NBA Top Shot) have been working on a pilot program with Ticketmaster for the last 6 months. They minted a total of 5 million tickets throughout the 6 month period 😳

During the Pilot, Ticketmaster issued NFTs are memorabilia after certain events like Super Bowl LVI in 2022.

Ticketmaster even has a wallet and marketplace built into their site, so holders are able to view and trade these NFTs.

How have I not heard about this?!
