Metamask is collecting our data?! 😅
Metamask's privacy policy, Apecoin staking geoblocked, and a FTX limited series
GM Baos,
New Baos & new faces joining our community, we're so excited to have you!!! Check this cute pic of our two founders, Baostro & QueenBao by our very own HappyBeany.
Ending the week with not-so-terrible news so I'd say things are on the up? 🤔
We cover:
Metamask collecting our IP addresses
Ape staking geoblock 🌎
FTX docuseries on Amazon (coming soon)
Metamask's new privacy policy 🦊
We can't use Metamask anymore!?
ConsenSys announced an update to its privacy policy on November 23 (including metamask infura and more): When you use Infura as your default RPC provider in MetaMask, Infura will collect your IP address and your Ethereum wallet address when you send a transaction.

ConsenSys (the company behind Metamask) updated their privacy policy November 23nd. If you use Infura as your default remote procedure call (RPC) in Metamask, it will collect your IP address and ETH address when you make a transaction. If you use your own ETH node or a 3rd party RPC, then they won't collect your addresses.
Baos — I didn't know what an RPC was until now. And I definitely don't know how to switch to a custom RPC. But I'm about to learn 🙃. I think the majority of us are unaware of how wallets like Metamask work.
It's probably a good idea to start checking privacy policies and terms of conditions 😆 Will this change the way you use Metamask?
No $APE staking in the US or Canada?
It's been going around that Apecoin staking is being geoblocked in the United States. But is it really?
If you're in the US or Canada (North America), you won't be able to use ApeStake.io to stake your Apecoin. But technically you could still stake through the smart contract. Since only the front end by Horizen Labs will be blocked for staking.
GM $APE fam,
We want to remind the community that one of the benefits of decentralized finance is that anybody can interact with a smart contract, or develop clients and interfaces that allow users to interact with smart contracts.

Amazon wants in on the FTX drama
Amazon beat Apple for the rights to produce a FTX series based on Michael Lewis' upcoming book. You might be familiar with his work from The Big Short, Moneyball, and The Blind Side.
David Weil and Marvel directors Joe and Anthony Russo, will write and direct this eight- part limited series on the FTX collapse.
"This is one of the most brazen frauds ever committed. It crosses many sectors — celebrity, politics, academia, tech, criminality, sex, drugs, and the future of modern finance," said the Russo brothers.
"At the center of it all sits an extremely mysterious figure with complex and potentially dangerous motivations. We want to understand why,".
TR3NDING: An 8-episode miniseries on the FTX debacle has just been picked up by Amazon.
Joe and Anthony Russo, famed for directing Avengers: Endgame and multiple other Marvel movies are slated to direct.
