Kim Kardashian was fined $1.26m by the SEC for not disclosing how much she made shilling EMAX last June on her Instagram stories.

$260k in disgorgement and $1mil as a penalty.

Honestly the whole thing sounds bizzare. Especially since she’s currently in school studying to be a lawyer…

In the press release, the SEC said they charged Kim Kardashian for “touting on social media a crypto asset security EthereumMax without disclosing the payment she received for the promotion”.

"This case is a reminder that, when celebrities or influencers endorse investment opportunities, including crypto asset securities, it doesn’t mean that those investment products are right for all investors” said SEC Chair Gary Gensler.

The topic of cryptocurrency being a security has been brought up a lot recently. Right now there’s too much confusion without clear regulations.

Interestingly, in her story she did say this wasn’t financial advice and put #ad. Now we know that’s not going to pass in the governments eyes 🤣

This was probably just another day for her. It’s definitely not her or her family’s first time with legal trouble. So I doubt she was stressing about this one post she made over a year ago.

Beeple keeps getting hacked

OMG Beeple is compromised for the second time this year 😱

October 3, Beeple tweeted their Discord URLs were hacked and warns everyone not to go in the server. Because it would drain their wallet.

On Twitter, maxnaut.eth noticed the hijacked link on OpenSea before Beeple did, tweeting to them “Your Discord URL probably got hijacked and your team didn't update it on OS. You need to change that ASAP or people going to get rekd”

Thankfully it was fixed quickly 🙏

Right in time for ZachXBT’s latest investigation…

ZachXBT exposes the Beeple Twitter hackers who stole over $450k (225 ETH) earlier this year.

TLDR his thread

  • May 22, the @beeple Twitter account is hacked. Attackers tweeted phishing links used to drain crypto and NFTs from your wallet

  • People thought Beeple was releasing new NFTs/a surprise mint

  • His Twitter account was hacked by Cam Redman (SIM swapper) selling Twitter panel access to scammers

  • Scammer sent the funds through Tornado Cash & FixedFloat. Using different wallets/amounts of ETH

  • Trail lead to a scammer known as Two1/Youssef. Who also scammed the Webaverse Discord. And sent those funds to the same wallet as the Beeple funds 😳

  • Shayan/ ShinePranked was the third person involved in the hack, deactivated his account the day before ZachXBT’s thread. He was the one who connected Cam Redman & Two1, taking a % of the hack
