Instagram is now an NFT marketplace 🤯
Meta’s new features, Do Kwon living in Europe, and Formula 1 NFTs
GM Baos,
We faded MATIC and now Instagram, Reddit & more are bringing the masses via Polygon. How did I miss this Baos 😢
We cover:
Instagram’s new NFT features
Do Kwon living in Europe
Haas F1 team 🏎 X OpenSea ⛵️
Buy & sell NFTs on Instagram
I’m never fading Polygon again. First Reddit, then Starbucks and now... Meta?
Meta just announced a select group of creators will soon be able to create digital collectables (NFTs) and sell them directly on Instagram. They chose to partner with Polygon for the launch!
$MATIC increased by 30% after the news 🤯
Soon you’ll be able to make and sell #NFTs on @instagram, starting with @0xPolygon. You can also now connect to @solana and Phantom wallet, and see information about @opensea collection: about.fb.com/news/2022/05/i…

What else is Meta implementing?
Support for the Solana blockchain and Phantom wallet.
Support for video NFTs
Metadata from OpenSea (names & description for select collections)
Meta head of commerce and financial technology, Stephane Kasriel, says Meta won’t charge fees until 2024 and there will be no gas fees at launch.
But keep in mind NFT transactions are still subject to App Store fees… aka Apple’s 30% commission 😬
Last week we were buying NFTs through tweets & now we are buying them on Instagram. This is the beginning of true mainstream adoption 🥹
Update: Do Kwon sighted in Europe 🫣
Do Kwon still hasn’t been found 🙃
Thankfully, the authorities are one step closer.
South Korean prosecutors say Do Kwon is living in Europe as an illegal immigrant and they have evidence he manipulated Terra’s price.

The evidence is a conversation between Do Kwon and a former Terraform Labs employee.
He also is facing a $57m lawsuit in Singapore.
When will he be caught?!
Formula 1 meets NFTs 🏎
The Haas F1 team is partnering with OpenSea to produce a branded NFT collection! They’re the only American-owned team in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
In addition to a NFT collection, the OpenSea logo will appear on the VF-22 series cars.
All aboard as #HaasF1 and @opensea begin an exciting collaboration 🤝⛵

“We’ve waited to find the right partner in the NFT space and in OpenSea we’ve found exactly that,” said Guenther Steiner, Team Principal of Haas F1 Team. “To be guided by OpenSea on our collections and fan engagement opportunities, we know we’ll be in good hands as they’re not only connected to all the key players but they’re an industry leader with innovation at the forefront of all they do.”
